It has been confirmed by the North West Counter Terrorist Unit, that the explosion at the Ariana Grande gig held at the Manchester Arena in Manchester in the UK was a terrorist attack.

Reports backed up by video footage have shown an explosion, and many people fleeing the venue, the Manchester arena have stated the bomb exploded outside the main entrance in a public space.

Parents across the North West of England have still not been reunited with their children and that is causing widespread panic throughout the city and beyond. Taxi drivers in the Manchester area have offered free lifts to anyone finding themselves trapped in the city as all train services have been cancelled.

An Emergency COBRA meeting has been scheduled for later today, when members of the emergency services and the current UK Cabinet will meet to discuss the crisis.

At least 19 people have been killed and 50 injured by the bomb, however early reports are that many more people may have been injured.

The Manchester Ambulance Service has advised anyone calling them to request an ambulance for any other incident to bear with them due to a huge number of their resources being sent into the City Centre.

Armed police officers are roaming the streets to back up unarmed officers. All members of the general public are urgently advised to avoid the area due to the possibility of further bombs.
