Reports are now flooding in from both sides of the pond that the terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena in the UK was triggered by a suicide bomber, which based on the sheer number of shrapnel injuries and fatalities and video footage emerging from the scene does seem to back up those reports.

With up to 21,000 people attending the Ariana Grande gig, many of which were very young children this is a despicable act of terrorism and is one which the people of Manchester will not take lying down.

In fact, the people of Manchester and the surrounding areas have been offering free rooms to the thousands of people now roaming the streets with no way of getting home due to all train services being cancelled. Manchester taxi drivers have turned off their meters and are also offering free lifts home to anyone stranded in the city centre.

Reports of a potential second bomb have fortunately not be realised, however a suspected bomb was exploded by bomb disposal experts, and that suspected bomb turned out to be abandoned clothes in the nearby cathedral gardens.

Anyone considering travelling to the city centre should avoid doing so as the area has been closed down with a ring of steel so to speak and whilst people are being allowed to leave by whatever method they can the area around the MEN arena is an active crime scene.
