President-elect Donald Trump has just announced on Twitter that at the current moment the Mexicans will not be paying for his ambition in creating a wall at the US-Mexican border.
Mr. Trump added that taxpayers will be the one funding his great wall, and blames news agencies for this matter, adding as well that the Mexicans simply won’t be paying for it yet.
Most know that the most famous line and goal set by Mr. Trump throughout the entire election campaign was his promise in building that wall, and it being paid by the Mexicans as well.
Mr. Trump and his team are currently in the process of examining just which parts in southern United States would serve as the favored beginnings to begin construction on the wall.
The President-elect has been seeking for the needed funding for his promise, which amounts to multibillions of dollars, from a contract that allegedly been signed in 2006 by former President George W. Bush.
In this contract it had stated the need to build a “physical barrier” in the southern borders of the United States.
Pay it on Your Own
Mr. Trump’s “Great Wall” idea has sparked controversy and uproars throughout several in the United States, and Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto even declared during Trump’s active campaign months ago that he will never see a penny from the Mexicans in order to help him with his wall, and that Mexico absolutely has no intention whatsoever for paying for an inch of this wall.
These problems have arrived just in time for Mr. Trump as his hands have recently been quite full with the new responsibilities he will be having on January 20th, and most famously with the pending crisis regarding the alleged Russian cyber hacking that disrupted the US elections.
